The paintings that Larry Johnson creates come from 50 years of experience of not only having an understanding of watercolor techniques, but learning to observe and collect the information needed to produce a beautiful painting.

Larry teaches art classes throughout the United States each year as well as displaying his paintings in galleries and art festivals.  He is sought after as an instructor by art groups, organizations and for private lessons.  His watercolor workshops or acrylic workshops are usually filled with people eager to learn how to paint or that want to improve their skills.

His step-by-step method of teaching allows students to learn more, learn quicker and retain more of the painting techniques he uses to help the students improve  their art.  To see his schedule go to www.larrys-workshops.com.

He is a member of the Southwest Washington Watercolor Society, the Minnesota Watercolor Society and the Northwest Oil Painters Guild.  Larry has taken workshops from artists such as Tom Lynch, Tony Couch, Bridget Austin, Charles Mulvey, Hugh Greer, Joyce Faulkner and others that have influenced his paintings.
